began to radiate from her clit and pussy out to every part of her body.
She swayed her hips with urgency, needing him to move more than she needed her next breath. He pulled out and then thrust back in, rubbing a never-before-found spot inside of her that took her breath away and tightened the bar of arousal in her belly. Moving closer to the precipice they rocked together, her legs wrapped around his waist.
Trembling beneath him she lifted her hips to meet his thrusts, each designed to send her higher. Her clit swelled as he stroked it with his groin, the friction almost too much to bear. She mewled in frustration, her nails digging into the flesh of his shoulders as she neared the top. Dane leaned down and whispered hot, dirty words of encouragement in her ear even as he placed his hand between their bodies just where she needed it most.
Lily’s orgasm hit her with the force of a freight train, shattering her soul and sending the flickering pieces spinning around the room. His release hit him at the same time and she watched in fascination as he threw his head back, his teeth gritted tightly, the muscles of his torso in sharp relief. Never had a man been so beautiful to her than he was at that moment.
As she slowly came down to earth, he held her close and stroked her hair, his touch still making her shiver in the aftermath of their lovemaking. She let the silence enfold them until finally she levered up on her elbow and looked deep into his green eyes.
    “That was amazing.”
“You’re amazing.” Dane smiled and pressed a kiss onto her shoulder.
She giggled and snuggled closer into the heat of his body. “So it’s unanimous. We’re amazing.”
“Two amazing people who need to get some rest. I know you’ll want to pick up Nicky early in the morning. We can all go out for breakfast.”
She loved how he included her son in the circle of their happiness. This couldn’t only be about her. It was hard to believe she could feel this incredible but here she was, happier than she’d ever remembered.
“I think that sounds fantastic. I want pancakes.”
“You can have anything you want,” he promised. “And I mean that. From now on you can have anything you want.”
All she wanted was Dane’s heart and a happy ending for all three of them. Was that too much to ask?

Chapter Nine
    ‡
H ow could one man feel so good and so absolutely rotten at the same time? Last night with Lily had been amazing. Fantastic. Wonderful. He didn’t have the superlatives to describe the feeling of being intimate with someone he had feelings for.
Which made this all the more difficult. He’d tried to tell Lily last night about being Brandon’s cousin and the executor of the estate, but she’d placed her fingers over his lips and his dick had taken over the thinking from that point. There hadn’t been enough blood in his brain to think clearly and by the time there was the deed was already done. He was going to have to find another way to tell her without losing her trust.
Fuck it all, he should have told her before but he’d been afraid to lose her and now he was terrified. He was also thoroughly screwed and he only had himself to blame. He’d allowed his prejudices to push him into doing things that were out of character.
Now he was paying the price for his own stupidity.
She’d been so sweet this morning, so loving he simply couldn’t ruin the moment by dropping the bomb of his identity. After two cups of coffee he’d decided that this morning wasn’t the right moment. He sure as hell didn’t know when that right moment was, which was why he was sitting in this sports bar with Seb and Chris after bidding a passionate goodbye to Lily. She’d wanted him to go with her to her parents’ house to pick up Nicky but he couldn’t look her mother and father in the eye until he came clean. He’d promised to take them both to dinner tonight to make up for breakfast.
“Beers are on me,” Dane said as the waitress
