heads into the bathroom and I take the opportunity to get changed, slipping my dress and bra off and throwing on his T-shirt. It hangs down to my knees, and smells like him. While I wait for him to finish whatever he’s doing in the bathroom, I climb into his bed and get under the covers. I roll onto my side and as soon as my head hits the pillows I can feel myself fading.
I’m almost asleep when I feel the bed dip and his warm body press against me from behind. Noah wraps an arm around my waist and the other goes under my head, cradling me on his arm. He places a kiss to my neck and pulls me close.
    “Sweet dreams, Aubrey.”

    CHAPTER 10

    NOAH
I wake up to the sun shining and the smell of coffee. Stretching my arms, I think that may have been the best night of sleep I’ve had in a while. Getting out of bed, I go to the bathroom to relieve myself, wash my hands, and head down the hallway to the kitchen. Aubrey has her back to me, stirring something in a mixing bowl while she sings along to some Eric Church song that’s on the radio. Her blonde hair is in a pile on top of her head, and I can see that it’s damp. God, how long has she been awake? I look over at the clock, noticing it’s only nine in the morning. I’m broken out of my thoughts when I look back and she’s staring at me, a huge smile on her face.
“Morning! I was gonna make some waffles, you hungry?”
I give her a quick kiss and head for my Keurig. “Yeah, I could eat. How long have you been up?”
“Oh, I got up about an hour ago. I took a shower; hope you don’t mind. And I borrowed another shirt of yours. I can take it home and wash it for you.” She looks nervous for some reason, and it is absolutely adorable.
“Aubrey, don’t worry about the shirt. I want you to be comfortable and make yourself at home. My home is your home.” I kiss her on the cheek and finish making my coffee. Heading into the living room, I sit down on the couch and turn the news on. “So, what do you want to do today, baby?”
She walks into the living room and plops down on the couch next to me. “I don’t care. It’s supposed to be really nice out, but I don’t feel like doing too much. Do you have a grill? Maybe we could go over to the store and pick some stuff up for a barbeque lunch? I was also thinking about going to that little book shop next to the grocery store and getting this book I’ve been wanting to read.”
“Yeah, that sounds good. Do you want to call up Kennedy and Gray and see if they want to come over too? “
“Sure. I’ll send Kenni a text once I’m done with breakfast.”
When Aubrey stands and heads back into the kitchen, I grab my cell from the coffee table and send Gray a text. He responds within minutes.
Grayson: Hey, dude. I’ll pick Kennedy up on the way and be there around one thirty, sound good? Try to have some clothes on when I get there.
Noah: Shut the fuck up. See you at one thirty.
I head into the kitchen to see if Aubrey needs any help and find her putting full plates down on the breakfast bar. Guess she has it under control. Sitting down, I immediately dig in.
Oh, my God, she can cook. I’m in Heaven. No way am I letting her go.
“These are amazing, baby. Thank you,” I tell her, stuffing half a waffle in my mouth.
“Seriously, Noah? How old are you again? Shall I cut your food up into small bites for you? I do not want to have to perform the Heimlich.” Laughing, she just shakes her head at me. I grin back, wiping my mouth with a napkin.
Once we’re all finished with breakfast, she takes everything to the sink, turning the water on. I stand up and go over to the sink, shutting it off. She starts to protest, but I kiss her instead.
“These can wait. I have something more important to take care of.” Wrapping my arms around her, I crash my lips onto hers, capturing her moan of surprise as I seek entrance to her mouth. When she opens, I don’t hesitate to slip my tongue in, groaning when
