the children would be scared.
“Dead,” Nolan all but whispered, he was so furious and Duke nodded. He handed the phone to his uncle.
“It will be done by tomorrow morning,” he said, handing him the phone and turning, pulling out his phone.
Duke turned to see Lucy staring at him. Her eyes sparkled with tears she held back, trying to be brave for everyone. All he wanted to do was gather her into his arms and hold her.
“Come, let me show you to your new home.” He wrapped his arm around her, kissing her neck. “We’ll always be here for you,” he whispered before picking up Roman, while Nolan lifted Karla up into his arms. “As all of you have seen, the house is gated. We also have guards that patrol the grounds so the children are very safe here.” The door opened and his mom smiled.
“Lucy this is my mom, and no, she’s not married to my father. She has her own mate now and lives about a mile down the road,” Duke told her, as they all stepped into the house. “You see anything you don’t like, you can change it. We expect you too.” Duke introduced the children and Lucy’s friends as they all moved into the family room.
“Wow, look at that TV, Karla,” Roman said, squirming in Duke’s arms till he let him down as Nolan released Karla. “This is really our home?” he asked.
Duke laughed and nodded. “Would you like to see your rooms?”
Both children nodded coming right to him. For the next two hours, the kids explored their rooms, running back and forth to the others room, showing off new things they found, while Lucy traveled down the hall towards the master suite.
“To the left is my room and to the right Nolan’s, but for now, this is your room, soon to be ours,” Duke told her and opened the double doors, which lead into the largest bedroom in the house. “I hope you like it.”
Their woman stepped through the doors and slowly turned in a circle, till her gaze met his. “My God, this room is huge and stunning. What’s not to like?” She turned back around and approached the super king bed, running her hand over the carved wooden bedpost. “Wolves, dragons,” she looked over her shoulder. “Are there dragons?” she asked.
Nolan stepped up to her and placed a kiss on her shoulder, lifting his finger to trace the image of his best friend. “Yes, my best friend, Austin. He lives close by. You’ll meet him tomorrow. He saved both of our lives a few years ago. Each of these carvings are short stories about our life.” He nodded to the bare spot on the headboard. “Our meeting will go there,” Nolan said.
Lucy placed her hand over Nolan’s. “It’s stunning. You did all of this, didn’t you?”
“Yes, it’s one of my hobbies, helps relieve stress when things get out of hand. Where I work with wood, big brother works with glass,” Nolan pointed to a dresser where his latest creation was.
“Oh my,” Lucy walked over to the dresser and lifted the sculpture. “It almost looks like me?” she looked over her shoulder at Duke.
“I saw this in a dream, it’s the three of us,” he told her. Both he and his brother were standing, Lucy was between them, her legs wrapped around his waist as they loved her. Her head was tilted back as she screamed her release. “I call the piece A Wolf’s Possession .”
“It’s beautiful,” she placed it back in its spot, before looking over her shoulder at him. “Am I your possession?” Lucy whispered.
Both he and Nolan wrapped their arms around her nipping and biting her skin. “Yes,” he growled as did his brother. “Ours and only ours,” he added, hearing the little feet coming their way as he stepped back to welcome their children.
“Momma Lucy, look at this!” Roman came running in, carrying one of those electronic game things as did Karla. “We both have one.” Duke stood back smiling as both kids climbed onto the bed and showed Lucy their new games.
“I have to say that is the best view I’ve have had in long
