troubled him, though she couldn’t tell if it was the confession or the truth of what happened that bothered him most.
He looked up at her, his bright blue eyes filled with regret. “I’m sorry that I hurt you back then. When we were in college, I didn’t know what to do. I loved you, but I also had feelings for my roommate, and the quarterback of the football team, and one of my TAs. I didn’t know how to handle it. I didn’t understand that I could love a man and you at the same time. I thought it was best I just leave you alone. I thought it best if you moved on with your life without me and found someone who wasn’t confused, like I was.
“I had no idea we could have this. I had no idea that such a relationship existed. But now that I’ve found it, you can bet I’ll do everything I can to protect it.” The stern tone of his words and the determined gleam in his eyes shot straight through her. And though she knew it was a bit crazy, she did believe him. “I won’t let history repeat itself. I want you to know you can depend on me. I’m not going anywhere.”
Dell dropped his mouth to hers, sealing his words with a quick kiss that set her nerves sizzling. Marcos’s hands slid around her body, paying special attention to all her more sensitive curves. “What do you say, bella , will you stay with us?” She almost laughed at the urgency and plea in his tone.
Beth took a deep breath, trying to think, which was almost impossible with these two gorgeous men touching her. “How would this work? The three of us?” She could hear the breathless quality to her voice. It must not have been lost on Dell as his grin extended to cover his whole face.
“Come back to Boston with us. You can open that art gallery you always wanted to back in school. Marcos could supply you with wine for events, and I’ve got plenty of clients that would love to expand their portfolio into the art scene.”
How could this be? Two days ago her future had looked dull and gray, completely unsure. Now Dell offered her everything she’d ever wanted. The men she wanted, the gallery she’d dreamed about. She could even throw parties and events there like she’d come to enjoy through her reunion chair position.
Was it really possible to get everything she wanted? It couldn’t all be true. There had to be a catch.
She bit her lip nervously, and Dell took it as a sign of her concern, quickly amending his statement. “But we’ll understand if you don’t want to work with us after what happened with Paul.”
“As long as you can promise you’ll be in our bed at night,” Marcos whispered in her ear, “you’ll get no complaints from us.”
Dell smiled, nodding his head. His hand ran down the curve of her cheek, sliding down her neck. Her heart pounded out, her breath ragged. Beth looked behind her and met Marcos’s dark hungry eyes. Could they be serious? Was it possible they could make this work, the three of them?
    “You won’t get jealous?”
“We all bring something different to the table, bella . We have no reason to be jealous of each other. You need something different from each of us, just as we need each other in a different way than we need you.”
Dell’s lips descended on her neck, sucking on her sensitive skin. Beth moaned at the touch. Dell slid closer to her, wrapping his arm around her waist and pulling her closer into him. “We need you, sweetheart. Not just for one night, for good. Will you stay?”
Her heart beat a happy rhythm in her chest. That was what she’d always wanted. She’d never stopped loving Dell, not even when she’d been with Paul. She wanted to be with him. But she was quickly coming to care for Marcos, too. With his easygoing nature and ability to make anyone feel at ease, she understood why Dell had snapped him up. To be with the two of them, long term, sounded like a dream come true.
“I would have a few ground rules for this situation.” She tried to sound stern, but given the
