pulling pranks against the football players.  “You’re going to be my seat buddy, I’ll keep you safe and you keep me safe.  Always remember stranger danger when we get to the airport.” Brody said with a serious tone but trying to hide a smile.
I rolled my eyes, “ Brody, you’re a defensive lineman I think stranger danger should be the least of your concerns.” I said with a laugh.
“Hey, women try to grope this you know!  What if one of them successfully pulls me away and has her mean way with me?” He replied.
“Right…and how big is this woman?” I asked with one eyebrow raised.
Brody twisted his lips up and rubbed his chin, “Oh she’s about five foot four’ish, has a rockin’ hot body, her eyes, you’d kill for them…eh I’ll shut up and spare you the details.  I know you chic’s don’t like to hear about each other.” He said with a grin.
I slapped at his arm, “You’re such a perv!” I said and laughed.
Once we got to the airport and everything was passed through the security and loaded onto the private jet, everybody boarded the airplane.  Brody came and sat down beside me and stretched out his tall muscular six foot five, two hundred and sixty pound frame.  I had my ear buds in listening to Pandora radio and was checking my Facebook.  I glanced up at Brody that was reading my phone over my shoulder, so I laid my phone on my lap and pulled my ear buds out.
    “Nosey?”
Brody laughed, “Nope, just bored.  So what are we going to talk about the next couple of hours?”
I shrugged my shoulders, “I’m going to take a nap if that’s okay with you.” I told him.  The airplane started to taxi down the runway and soon lifted off.
“Are you and Jet still an item?  I haven’t seen him around lately.”
“Yep we are, he’s not been around because, well…there was a family emergency.”
    Brody tilted his head, “Okay?”
I leaned my head back against the seat and closed my eyes, “His dad murdered his mom then turned the gun on himself on Sunday.”
I looked over at Brody that sat there blinking, “No shit?  I thought his mom was remarried though.”
I nodded my head, “She is, they have only been married for a few short months.  His dad was a severe alcoholic though.  I haven’t heard anything from him or Jason.  Jerod told me that he did leave Jason and Jet each a letter though.  I don’t know if Jet will ever let me see it since there was already hard feelings between me and his dad.”
Brody nodded his head, “Yeah that was pretty fucked up, how you and Jet ended up together but didn’t know that you two actually had a connection before.”
I leaned my head against his shoulder, “I don’t want to talk about it anymore it’s driving me crazy that Jet won’t let me come be with him.  Tell me more about you.”
I raised my head off his shoulder and looked at him as he talked about his childhood.  Brody was a very handsome black man, he had full lips, perfect straight white teeth and his eyes were a beautiful shade of green.  His hair was cut in a typical military style haircut since he was raised in a military family.  He told me about his one sister that was married and had a set of twin girls, his mom and dad traveled for his dad’s security business, and he pointed out numerous times that he was indeed a single guy.  We visited a little more about my family until I finally dozed off with my head leaning against his shoulder.  I was jolted awake when we hit turbulence, I grabbed Brody’s hand and squeezed it for dear life.  He shook his head and laughed, “Woman if I was white that would have just turned my knuckles white.” He said as I released my grip.
“You hush, I was sleeping good!” I said and tucked my jacket against the window and tried to go back to sleep.
“Get over here, you look way to uncomfortable.” He told me and pulled at my arm.
I laid my head against his shoulder and didn’t wake up again until
