not going to believe this shit.  Their mom was found murdered…his dad was the one that killed her then turned the gun on himself.”
My eyes got big, “OH MY GOD! No…you can’t be serious!” I started to cry, and tried to call Jet again.  He didn’t answer so I left him a voice mail, * Jet, baby, please call me…I’m so sorry.  I love you, call me when you have time. * I hung up and called my mom, she was beyond shocked to say the least, she had to leave for work and told me she would call me back later.  I called my Uncle John, when I told him he was speechless.  “Jesus Chassis, what the hell brought this on?” He finally asked.
“I don’t know, I haven’t talked to Jet or Jason.  We found out from Jerod about an hour ago.” I told him
My uncle blew out a breath, “Just be there for him baby girl, this is going to be pretty rough on him and his brother.”
“I know, surely he’ll call me later tonight or tomorrow sometime.  I have to go out of town Thursday for a football game on Friday in Texas, we won’t be back until early Saturday sometime.”
“I’m sure he will get ahold of you before then.  God I can’t believe this.” He sighed.  We talked for a few more minutes then hung up.  It was getting close to eleven in the evening so Asher, Mitch and I decided to go back to the dorm.  I text Jet but never got a reply, Mitch hadn’t heard any more from Jerod either.

It was late Monday evening when I finally got a call back from Jet,
    “Hey.” I answered softly.
“Hey” he replied sounding completely exhausted.
    “Are you okay?” I asked.
He chuckled, “Like that’s not the dumbest fucking thing you could ask.” He said.
“I uh…I’m sorry Jet, I don’t know what to say.  Do you need me to come there so you and Jason don’t have to go through this alone?”
“We’ve got our other family here, Marvin isn’t going to be back until Wednesday sometime, he’s out of town on a business trip.  I can’t believe this shit.”
“When do you think you’ll be coming back?  I can come see you after I get back to town on Saturday.”
“What do you mean when you get back to town?  Where the fuck are you going?”
“Uh, there’s a football game in Texas, we’ll be leaving Thursday and be back to campus Saturday sometime.” I told him.
“ Who’s traveling with you?  Is Asher going to this game?”
“Not to this one, we all drew out of a hat she will be on the next out of town game.”
“Well, I’ve gotta go, I guess I’ll talk to you when I talk to you again.”
“Okay, I love you!” I told him.  He didn’t reply he hung up without another word.
I sat on my bed and cried, Asher came in and sat down beside me, “Want to talk about it?” she asked as she hugged me. I shook my head ‘no’ and wiped the tears off of my cheeks.  “He’s going through a lot right now Chass, I can’t even begin to imagine…” she said with a shaky voice.  “Just give him time, okay.  I think we are all in shock right now, we all want to help but I think Jason and him have their own way of handling things.  They’ll let us in when they are ready to okay?”
“I know, but it’s killing me.  I don’t want him to feel like I don’t care if that makes sense.  I just feel like I should be there but he said not to come.  Then got upset when I told him I have to go out of town on Thursday.”
“I’m sure by the time you get back on Saturday he will be ready to see you.” She said as she smoothed my hair and stared out the window.
I woke up later when I heard my phone go off with a new text message, I scrambled off the bed hoping it was from Jet.  I opened my messages and found that I had several that had finally come through after I had ruined my other phone.  Jet’s messages clearly showed he was upset that he couldn’t find me, there were messages from Asher that Jet was looking for me too.  Then the newest messages from Carley and
