faster and safer way for us to get to Belgium,” he said with a big smile on his face. “Not to mention a lot more comfortable.”
Well, of course he has a private jet!
I kept forgetting that the handsome, down to earth man next to me was a billionaire. I had to agree with whatever choices he made. It was his money.
“I wish you could have told me that before I bought the other tickets,” I grumbled, a bit disappointed at not having done my job right.
“I wanted to surprise you,” he responded, turning to face me.
“And that you did, once again,” I said. “I wish I could surprise you as much as you surprise me.”
    “You are full of surprises.”
His beautiful brown eyes were gazing down at me. A hint of a smile twitched on his lips and it seemed like he was recalling our last couple of days together.
I started thinking about it and, sure enough, I had even managed to surprise myself. Nathan somehow made my shyness disappear when I was with him. He made me bold, both professionally and sexually. It felt like he had unlocked a part of me I had left undiscovered.
We boarded the jet ten minutes later and soon we were ready for takeoff. The flight, which lasted about ten hours, was mostly smooth with only a little turbulence. Nathan was going through some paperwork, preparing for the meeting. He had assigned me to do research on new possible business connections in Europe.
Flying charter really was a far more convenient way to travel, even though it seemed like such a waste to fly a huge plane across the ocean with only two passengers inside.
After finishing my assignment, I decided to take a little nap, since my man was preoccupied with his meeting preparations.
“Babe, we’re landing,” Nathan said quietly and kissed me on my cheek, waking me up.
My nap had turned into a three-hour sleep session. I could see that Nathan had spent all that time working. He looked tired.
“Already?” I asked sleepily. “Why didn’t you wake me up sooner?”
“You were sleeping so peacefully, I didn’t want to disturb you,” he said. “Besides, it gave me time to prepare for my meetings and reflect on my business choices.”
“Okay,” I replied, yawning and stretching.
The way he looked at me when I was waking up was the way all of womankind wants their men to look at them. His eyes were soft, but his jaw was tense. He had a playful smile on his beautiful lips and he had cocked his head to one side in amusement.
There was much more between us than just attraction, even though he didn’t say it out loud.
    Did he love me?
    Do I love him?
“A penny for your thoughts?” he said after several minutes.
“Oh… umm… just thinking about this trip,” I stammered.
I knew neither of us was ready to really open up about our feelings towards each other. Our relationship was so fragile and so strong at the same time. We had only known each other for some days and it felt like it was way too soon to fall in love. But our connection was unbelievable, as if we had known each other for an eternity. And the sexual chemistry between us blew my mind.
Is it all about lust? Or is this love at first sight?
The plane started descending and I could see the runway as the lights came closer. We had safely arrived at Antwerp’s Deurne Airport.
The evening air was crisp and I pulled my jacket tighter around me. When we left Denver, it had been warm, but in Antwerp, the climate was totally different. Luckily, Nathan had arranged a private car for us to get to the hotel. I was sure that it should have been my job, but since it was all so new to me, he had decided to take matters into his own hands.
The city of Antwerp was beautiful, but I didn’t have the chance to enjoy it, since it was dark and we arrived at our hotel very quickly. The hotel was located in the city center and was as beautiful in real life as in the pictures I had seen when I booked our stay. The surroundings were also very spectacular and I couldn’t
