didn’t have an hour to devote to her? “Work?”
The expression on his face told her she was way off. “No. I’m thinking about us. About how we can possibly make things work if we chose to pursue this.”
    “Oh.” She sat up straighter.
Mr. Taylor paid the bill with the portable debit machine and held his hand out to help her stand.
“It’s getting late. Guess I should get you home,” he said. Hayden helped her slip on her jacket, slowly brushing her hair to the side, his fingers grazing her neck. She didn't want the evening to end.
As they walked towards the car, night now blanketing the city, she stopped dead. “I want you to take me home.”
“I plan to.” He jiggled his keys in front of her.
    “No. Your home.”
He gave her a warning look which reminded her of a teacher scolding a student. “I don’t think that’s such a good idea, Kaya. I had a great night. We have all the time in the world to get to know each other better.”
“Let’s start tonight,” she insisted. “Or…are you afraid of me?”
    “Very.”
Kaya touched his chest with both hands and slowly progressed upwards until her hands lightly traced around his neck. He got quiet, and then pulled her closer by the waist until only a breath separated them.
“Do you want to play a game?” she asked.
He leaned his head lower and nuzzled her neck. She heard him inhale and felt the warmth of his lips on her skin. “What kind of game?” he murmured.
“I’ll show you tonight. At your place.”
Hayden pulled her closer until she could feel the rigid line of his cock against her softness. “What do I get if I win?”
“Anything you want.” Her pussy tightened just thinking of the possibilities.
"I guess coffee wouldn't hurt. Then I'll have to get you home or you'll be dead on your feet in class tomorrow." They settled in the car. He pulled out onto the streets, now shrouded by a moonless evening. There was a light rain, nothing heavy, but enough to dampen the pavement and windshield. The shift in weather mirrored her mood. Was she doing the right thing? She was setting herself up for disappointment if things didn't work out between them. Her fantasies included a happily ever after, not a one-night stand.
"What about you? Are you an early to bed, early to rise kind of guy?" She watched his profile as he kept his eyes on the road ahead of them. Every move he made in the dark interior of the car—a rustle of leather, a wetting of lips, or flexing of his hand on the wheel—it all brought her temperature up to nearly unbearable levels. She wished he'd lose that precious control of his for two minutes and ravage her, but then again, it was his control that had attracted her to him in the first place.
"Whatever suits me. When you live alone, you can pretty much do what you want." He turned slightly in her direction, locking eyes with hers. "I have a feeling tonight will be a late night." His playful smirk was followed by an ever so brief perusal of her body before he refocused on the road. She felt the heat of his inspection, hoping he liked what he saw.
    "Hayden?"
He swallowed hard, turning the car to the side of the road. The streets were barren due to the hour and the fact the light spattering of rain had increased and now fell steadily. He shifted the car into park. "We're about two minutes away from my condo, but—"
"Yes?" Was he desperate for her? Did he want to fuck her right here in the car? Or did he change his mind and want to drive her home?
"I think I should take you home, Kaya." No!
The sexual energy practically sizzled around them. "What? Why?"
He soothed her nerves by running his hand from her shoulder to her hand. "It's not you." After a deep breath, he continued, "I haven't had a woman at my condo. Ever."
    "Okay."
"Things could get carried away if we let them, and I don't want to scare you."
How could Mr. Taylor scare her? She wanted him more than breath. Right now she'd do anything he asked of her without
