Heather pushed the heavy shopping cart down
yet another aisle and sighed.
    “Marshmallows!” Heather’s best friend, Jackie
exclaimed as she grabbed handfuls of the soft, cloudlike candy.
Jackie squeaked excitedly as she rummaged
through the huge variety of the common campfire treat that lined
the store’s shelves. Her tone and perfectly tanned legs poked out
of tight grey shorts that said “STATE” along the ass in big red
bold letters. Her perky tits jiggled slightly under her green tank
top and Heather almost smirked at how excited those marshmallows
were making her nipples.
“I didn’t know they had all these flavors!”
Jackie’s voice was rising to an almost incomprehensible squeal.
“Strawberry! Cinnamon! Oh my gosh, chocolate!”
    Heather rolled her eyes.
Jackie threw a few more bags into the
shopping cart and looked up at her friend. The huge smile on her
thick red lips disappeared when she saw the look on Heather’s
face.
“Oh Heather, cheer up.” she said, trying to
sound cheerful. “This camping trip is going to be amazing.”
“I just don’t get camping.” Heather said with
a sigh. She brought a hand up to her hair and played with the long
blonde strands.
“That’s because you’ve never been before.
Trust me, it’s awesome.” Jackie’s smile returned to her bronze
face. Her bright blue eyes shone under her dark, almost black,
bangs.
“Hmm, let’s see,” Heather said sarcastically
as she put a finger on her lips, “I could be tanning on the pearly
white beaches of Cancun, drinking margaritas and surrounded by
beautiful men, OR, I could spend a week with no fresh water in a
dirty, dingy forest while pooping in the woods.”
Heather crossed her arms and waited for a
response.
“Dramatic much?” Jackie laughed, “Your poor
ass can’t afford a ticket to Cancun. And neither could the rest of
us, so make due, alright?”
Jackie squeezed Heather on the arm.
“Trust me, we’ll have a great time. I also
have a surprise for you but you’ll never know what it is unless you
come along.”
The corner of Jackie’s mouth curled up
mischievously. Heather knew just enough about that smile to be
wary; the last time she saw it Heather ended up hung over for three
days, but damned if that wasn’t a great night.
Heather closed her eyes and let out a long,
drawn out sigh. Suddenly, her face lit up and a smile spread across
her cute, freckled skin.
“Alright, alright.” Heather said finally, “I
guess I’m excited now.”
“That’s the girl I love!” Jackie wrapped her
friend in her tone arms, giving her a big bear hug and nuzzling
into her neck.
“Now, let’s go get some graham crackers.”
    ---
Heather stepped out of Jackie’s cramped sedan
and onto the soft grass of their reserved camping spot. She looked
around at what would be her new home for the next week; green grass
spread out before her for what seemed like the length of a football
field. Thick, leafy bushes that were about as tall as a person
surrounded the edges of their plot like a natural privacy fence,
and just beyond that was a rocky shore that led to the man-made
lake. Boats cruised up and down the dingy, murky waters, sending
small whitecaps crashing into the muddy beach.
Heather thought she caught the faint whiff of
rotting fish. Heather grimaced; she decided right then that she
would not be swimming in this lake, no matter what kind of surprise
Jackie had in store.
She looked back toward the main campsite and
shrugged.
“At least our campsite alright…” she thought
out loud while crossing her arms.
Jackie walked up alongside Heather and gave
her a playful slap on the bottom.
“Alright?!” she asked incredulously, “This is
perfect! I got us the best spot in the whole campsite!”
“The best spot, huh?” Heather laughed.
She didn’t see how one plot of dirt would be
better than any other.
    “Yep.”
