shower sex are just the beginning, Mr. Tight End.”
Heath coughed. “Damn, woman. Too bad I’ve got a drunk to pick up.”
They arrived in front of the bar before she could fathom a reply. “Go get Dugan and I’ll take y’all back to his truck. Hopefully, he remembered where he parked.”
Heath climbed out of her shoebox ride wearing a grin.
After they returned, Jordan drove them to the parking garage. Good thing her man rivaled his friend in stature. Dugan listed like a sinking ship.
After loading Dugan, Heath returned and leaned in the car. “So our game is still on?”
“Whenever you’d like to play.” Reaching through the window, she brought his head down, and smacked his lips.

Chapter 10

Heath slid behind the wheel with Jordan’s kiss still sizzling on his lips. He’d scored and, like in a real game, play continued and would until the clock ran out. Which would likely be after the Tritons’ season.
“Wow, did I interrupt something?” Dugan fumbled with his seat belt.
“I’m just glad you got a hold of me. You don’t need any more trouble, bro.” Plus he’d slowed the pace with Jordan to a manageable level. Too much too fast and she might grow bored with him.
“Yeah, had enough legal shit to deal with already.” He dropped his head back against the seat. “So how are you and Jordan doing?”
Loaded question. “Making progress.” He handed the parking attendant a ten and turned onto Pacific Avenue for home.
“Are you really into her or just on a pussy hunt?” Dugan frowned.
The king of pussy hunting now judging him? He punched the gas. “What does it matter to you?”
“Because you always pick women with baggage and think you can fix them.”
He cut Dugan a glare. “Are you saying Jordan’s a bitch like Sandy?”
“No man, but GiGi said she was royally fucked over by some suit and I’m worried about her rebounding on you. Then my woman gets pissed at me.”
“You sum up shit nicely when you’re wasted, but I’m more concerned about you drinking yourself to death before we hit the field in uniform. Where’s GiGi?” He raced through the caution signal light as twilight descended.
“Busy planning her local fashion show,” he slurred and slumped in the seat.
He’d never seen him sulk over a woman. Normally, he’d move on. “You’re not falling for this one, are you, my friend?”
“Naw.” Dugan’s head tipped back and his eyes closed.
    “Not very convincing,” Heath muttered.
Once home, Heath texted Jordan an apology about having to end their evening. She joked back about settling the score of their game.
He thought about sexting her a pic to show her how he still wanted her, but with his luck, she’d be in the news again. Neither one of them could afford any bad publicity.

Jordan stepped from the shower the next morning feeling deliciously sore. God, the man could do the dirty. Her body ached for more. Who was she kidding? She wanted him bad. Like no other.
After dressing in yoga pants and a spaghetti tank, she checked her reflection in the mirror. For the first time since her trouble, she liked her appearance. She felt sexy. A hunk of a tight end semi-pro football player couldn’t seem to get enough of her. He was the best shot for an ego a girl could have.
Jordan grabbed her cell and headed downstairs for coffee. She’d started unloading the dishwasher when a call came in from GiGi. Odd as she normally texted.
“Say you’ll be one of my models for the show! I’ve just had one of the girls cancel on me.”
Jordan wasn’t thrilled about parading half-naked in one of her friend’s slinky designs down a runway. Not that GiGi’s clothes weren’t lovely. Hell, she hoped this would propel her friend into the big time. After grabbing a cup from the rack, she filled it and drank deeply. “I don’t know, G.”
“It’s not until the fall, but I know you won’t leave me hanging like someone else might. You’ve got plenty of
