time to think about it on your cruise.”
    Cruise!
She nearly dropped the phone. The cruise! Fuck! She’d forgotten about the getaway her dad had booked in December for the whole family. Holy crap. They’d leave in two days. She smacked her palm to her forehead. What would Heath say?
The tropical destination seemed bland and unexciting compared her new adventure with a football god. Would he think she was trying to avoid him, especially after she’d totally failed to mention the trip?
Ten days without his awesome body. The memory of yesterday in the shower had her panties slick. Such a bad girl. She’d actually offered her last virginal orifice to him and now considered actually following through.
    “Jordan?” GiGi sounded impatient.
“Yeah. Sorry, totally forgot about the cruise.”
She snickered. “Damn. He must be good, girl! You’re as absentminded as a teenager.”
“Horny as one, too.” She put away the last plate and closed the dishwasher.
    “Did the wicked deed finally?”
    “You know I don’t share.”
“Don’t have to. I’ve never heard that breathless, husky tone in your voice before. Not even in high school.”
    Neither had she.

The buzz of Heath’s phone jolted him from his after-training beach snooze. He leaned forward in his lounge chair and shielded the phone’s display with his towel. Jordan’s name appeared. Damn, he’d had the best sex of his life with the hot teacher and still hadn’t taken a picture of her to display on his phone. Then again, she was only supposed to be some summer fun. No need to get sentimental.
    “Hey, darlin’.”
“Sorry to bother you.” She sounded hesitant.
“Impossible. In fact, I’d planned to call you as soon as my brain cells recovered from this morning’s hits.”
    “Dozing on the beach?”
“Tanning. Then I don’t feel like I’m wasting my time if I pass out.”
    “A multi-tasker, huh?”
He grinned. “Yeah, kinda like sex with a massage.”
“How about dinner? I’ll give you a massage and work in some sex afterward,” she purred.
“So, game on.” He’d stop on the way and pick up more condoms.
“Uh huh. Mom and Dad are out for the evening, and I’d like to cook for you. You up for it?” A giggle followed.
He dug his toes in the sand, ready for any new challenge she might offer. “Absolutely, but find out what time they’ll return, so we can be dressed.”
“Sure. What’s your favorite meat, Mr. Tight End? Are you a steak man or do you like ribs?”
“Surprise me, darlin’. Actually, I’m hungrier for some feline protein, if you get my drift.” His cock twitched with approval.
    Down boy.

Jordan greeted him at the door, wearing a dress that left her tanned shoulders bare. Vibrant tropical flowers against the black fabric reminded him of Miami at night. “Beautiful.”
“Thanks, I bought it today.” She encircled his neck and drew him close for a kiss. She tasted like malt, and her cool fingers outlined his jaw as her tongue teased him. Little tremors wracked her body.
“You okay?” He followed her to the kitchen. The aroma of Italian spices and garlic bread made his stomach growl.
She pulled two beers from the fridge, handed him one and frowned. “I promised to be your cheerleader at your first game and now I can’t. I’m sorry.”
“So our play clock has run out, then.” He clutched the bottle tight as his stomach sank.
Her eyes widened. She set her brew on the kitchen island. “What? No. Not unless you’re calling it.”
He shook his head at her mixed signals. “What’s going on, Jordan?”
“Remember me saying Dad always books a cruise for the family?”
“And you’d rather visit the Outer Banks.” He clasped her cold fingers and rubbed them between his.
“Yeah, well the ship leaves day after tomorrow. I forgot all about the trip until GiGi called me this morning. It’s for ten days, so I’ll miss your first home game.” Her soft lips formed a
