    “Call them. I want to see you explain to them how you have been molesting your son for many, many years. I have been sent by Blair to rescue his brother from your sick fucking hands.” Kota took a step toward the couch. “Deny it if you want. I will make sure Blair testifies to your years of perversion.”
    “Who are you?” the father asked in frightened awe.
    “Someone who may let you live. Your best bet is to allow us to walk out of here with Oliver and never contact them again.” Kota leaned closer, his hair falling forward in a veil of menace as he sneered. “Ever.”
    Micah came back into the living room with a frightened Oliver at his side. The guy had a backpack slung over his shoulder and was staring at his father with revulsion. He spat in his father’s face then walked away, heading out of the front door.
    Kota growled one last time at the father. “If I ever see your face again, I will make sure it’s in a coffin.” With that he turned and disappeared.

    Blair looked up as a knock sounded on his bedroom door. Cecil was standing there with a wide grin on his face.
    “Kota called. He’s on his way back with Oliver. They should be here any minute.”
    Blair’s heart began to race. He followed Cecil down the stairs and joined him in the den to await his brother’s arrival. How would Oliver act? Would he hate him for not being there? Would he welcome Blair with open arms? Had his father molested his brother with him not there to protect him?
    His mind was in a whirl of anxiety by the time the front door opened and the four men walked in.
    Blair stood, wiping his hands down the front of his jeans. He spotted his brother and his jaw dropped. Oliver ? No way. That 70

    couldn’t be him. Could it? How had his little brother changed so drastically in four months?
    “Oliver.” Blair ran to him and embraced him in his arms. His brother stood there stiffly, not returning the hug. After a moment, Oliver pushed Blair away.
    “Enough already. You a fag or something? Stop groping me.”
    Blair’s face fell. Who the hell was this guy, and where was his sweet little trusting brother? He stepped back, speechless.
    Dakota wrapped Blair in his arms. Why was his brother acting this way?
    “Yeah, I see you are. Just don’t try that homo shit with me.”
    Oliver crossed his arms over his chest and glared at Blair.
    He felt as though his brother had just verbally slapped him. Blair guessed he did. He fumbled for something to say, but words evaded him. Wrapping his arms around his waist, Blair stepped back. This wasn’t what he expected, not from Oliver. Where was all the hatred coming from?
    “Watch your tongue, young man. That’s my mate you’re speaking to.” Dakota growled at his brother. He took a step toward Oliver.
    Blair thought for sure Dakota was going to strangle him.
    Micah stepped closer to his brother. What the—? Blair noticed the protective way the wolf stood with Oliver. What was going on? A light went on in his head. Mates .
    With the way his brother was spewing venom, Micah didn’t have a chance in hell of mating Oliver. Besides the fact his brother was only seventeen, the situation was looking uglier by the moment.
    “I hear you were a whore out on the streets. That true?” Oliver spat out at Blair.
    Micah grabbed Oliver out of the way as Dakota lunged for him.
    Blair’s past came slamming back into his face at his brother’s words.
    All the indecent things he had to do to survive were playing out in slow motion right in front of his eyes.
