sat in his booth across from him. She wore ordinary clothing, a blue shirt with black jeans.
At least she ’ll stay fully clothed here. I can’t say that she’ll keep her hands to herself.
“I know you ’re surprised to see me, Mark. So I’ll just explain briefly. I wanted to apologize for the way I acted, both at the barbecue and at Cheryl’s apartment.”
Mark decided not to make a scene, and just listen.
“Look, I know you were seeing Tanya when I well, approached you both times, but Cheryl and I didn’t think the two of you were serious. After all, you did go out on a date with my sister when you were seeing Tanya, right?”
“Yeah, it’s a bit confusing, I know ,” Mark said back.
“So, if you were so into Tanya, why did you go to the barbecue with Cheryl?”
“Maybe she was afraid of Akira. I know what he did.”
“Mark, there’s more to what’s going on with Cheryl and Akira than you know, but you should talk to Cheryl about that, not me. However, I will tell you about Akira and me if you can keep a secret. Can you promise not to tell?”
“I promise ,” Mark said. He understood now why Akiko had come to see him in person, with there being so much confidentiality involved.
“ You see, when Akira told you that it was O.K. to see me, he didn’t give you the whole story. Maybe that was why you didn’t touch me.”
“Well, what if you guys reconciled? That’d be a messy scene if I were involved,” Mark replied.
“ Mark, we don’t love each other. Never did.”
“ O.K., this is starting to make sense,” Mark responded.
“ We have to be married a certain amount of time before I can have my American citizenship without him. When that time passes, we’re getting a divorce. The only men I meet are through my work, and through my family, and I have that ‘looking for a discreet relationship’ on my dating profile, with no picture. I can’t actively socialize with anyone, or let it be known that I’m ‘looking’ for anyone. I’ve gone to the Shore hotel for one-nighters with tourists, but even that gets risky.”
“W hat does he get out of the deal?” Mark asked, wondering.
“My Electric Pussy! But there’s no emotional involvement, and even that part of the deal is over with,” Akiko said, sadly.
“So he used you for sex, so you could get citizenship?”
“I’m not proud of it Mark. I’m glad that it’s almost over. I know you must not think highly of me, but I want you to know the truth. We have to be honest with each other if anything’s ever going to happen between us.”
“Akiko, I can’t right now. I’m not ready, for anyone.”
    “I see ,” Akiko responded.
Mark lightened the mood a bit. “So, I’ll just have to take your word for it about the electricity running through your pussy.”
    ”Hah! That ’s hilarious Mark!”
    “Thanks .”
“ Seriously, the ‘Electric Pussy’ is a sex technique. It’s my invention!” Akiko stated proudly.
“ You taught this to Cheryl?”
“What are sisters for?” Akiko responded.
Cheryl made me feel as if I could come a gallon. Here’s her sister, who invented it. Imagine…
I need to change the subject .
“So Cheryl was involved with your husband once?” Mark asked.
Akiko responded “No, not really. But like I said, you need to talk to Cheryl.”
“I think I will, when the time is right,” Mark assured her.
“Sounds good. Anyway Mark, I want you to know, I still consider you a friend.”
For crying out loud! If I had a dime for every time I heard the word “friend” over the last two weeks, I could have a Russian Bride flown down with all the money I had. Shit, I could also afford that penis enlargement and get all the drugs I wanted from that Canadian pharmacy too. Then I could be a drugged up, well hung man fucking a hot Russian woman and would probably be a lot happier than I am now. Maybe I should’ve responded to THOSE emails instead of the ones from Cheryl and Tanya.
