huge yachts with supermodels and minor royals. Why on earth would it fall to him to fire the useless intern? Swallowing my nerves, I knocked on the door.

“Come in...” a cultured, masculine voice called out.

I stepped into the plush, opulent office, and there, standing behind the desk was the most attractive man I had ever seen, gazing intently at me. He was handsome in the press photos I'd seen, in a wealthy, athletic way, but in the flesh he was so much more. He was tall, much taller than me, and well built. The few silver flecks in his jet-black hair enhanced his look rather than detracted from it, and his expensively-cut suit gave the image of a powerful, confident man. The sheer magnetism of him was mesmerising.

As he slowly looked me up and down, I was shocked to find my body reacting to the scrutiny. I blushed as I felt my nipples harden under my blouse, and, yes, a definite tingling deep down in the place I didn't really have a name for. Why was I reacting like this? I wasn't here on a date, I was here for.....what, exactly?

“Please, have a seat.” He gestured towards the seat in front of the desk.

Trying to compose myself, I hastened to the chair. Mr Steel remained standing, forcing me to gaze up at him. The thought flashed into my mind that, unlike Tyler, this was a man who wouldn't have to be teased and coerced into sex.

Embarrassed again, I struggled to pull my thoughts back to some sort of professionalism. He looked faintly amused as he continued to stare. Could he tell that I was attracted to him? The silence was too tense for me to bear.

    “Mr Steel..” I began.

“Please, call me Michael” he interrupted.

    “Michael. My name is....”

“I know your name, Cassie. I watched the videotape of your interview, I spoke to your session leader not long ago, and I've just been looking over your file.” He gestured to the sparse document that represented my entire fledgling career. “I have to say, you aren't the kind of candidate we usually look for here.”

Despite the fact that he was listing my faults in the run up to firing me, I couldn't help but notice that his voice was like honey poured over ice. Sensual, but strong and dangerous.

“You're not Steelcorp material. We value confidence and experience. But I...on the other hand...” As his voice trailed off, I finally worked up the courage to look into his eyes. What I saw there looked very much like desire. This man, this powerful, sexual man, was looking at me as if I was a goddess.

“...I think that you're so much more than you realise, Cassie. I want you to be my personal intern, but I don't want to teach you about business. I want to explore you, and open your eyes to a whole new world.”

Now I was completely confused! Was he saying what I thought he was saying, or was I just interpreting it as sexual because of my attraction to him? Surely, he wouldn't want me. This was a man that could have any woman in the world.

“I....I'm sorry....I don't understand exactly what you mean.” I managed to stutter.

Michael laughed. “I want to fuck your brains out. Well, and often. In every way you can think of, and quite a few that you can't.”

I was shocked. Was this a joke? “You don't even know me!” I said.

“I know people, Cassie. It's what's got me where I am today. I can look at someone in the boardroom, in the street, even on an interview videotape, and see the secrets they try to hide from themselves. When I saw you, I saw someone who has been playing the nice girl for so long, she thinks that's who she really is. But deep down underneath, you have a raw sensuality just waiting to be unleashed, and a taste for sex that.....complements my own.”

I was still completely stunned. “But what about the internship? And what about your supermodels?” I said, regretting the embarrassing words as soon as they left my mouth.

    He smiled, and despite my
