    Yeah, right. That was the brush-off of the century. She refused to show her disappointment. “Okay, that’s fine.”
    Before he could shift the gear, Gray leaned over and snagged his wrist. “If she wants to spend the night, let her. We can bring her home in the morning.”
    She internally rejoiced. After the trip down nightmare lane in interrogation, she didn’t want to be alone in her apartment tonight. Every creek and bump would likely send her heart racing.
    She smiled at Grayson and then rested her head against his shoulder. The simple offer meant a lot to Stephanie. If he cared nothing for her, he wouldn’t have considered her feelings. Or maybe his libido hadn’t been fully sated. Regardless, she’d get to live the fantasy at least one more night.
