because all he heard was a bunch of buzzing going on. But his father knew exactly what he meant. He would tell him about how his granddad always thought that the sound of bees were soothing. But even the calming of the bees didn’t help him today as he realized he would be going on a double date with the most beautiful creature he’d ever laid eyes on.
It was around six when he got home which gave him plenty of time to figure out what he would wear. “What the hell do you wear to an exhibit anyways?” He searched through his closet, trying to figure it out. He took out a long sleeved black button down shirt from the rack as well as some black slacks. Maybe the all black would make him look more artsy. It was rare for him to dress up for anything, unless it was for like a friend’s or family member’s wedding. He knew this was entirely different while looking along the floor for those pair of black leather shoes he hadn’t wore since his cousin Tina’s wedding.
Once he looked at everything he’d put out on the bed, Jeremy walked towards the bathroom so he could start up the shower. He couldn’t wait to get the dust off from his constant drives along with sweating so much in the sun. He stepped in and showered.
Turning off the water, Jeremy got out feeling completely rejuvenated. He continued to dry himself off and then tied the towel around his waist. He put a little gel in his hair, blow dried it and went to get dressed.
The phone rang and he knew it had to be Lily or his brother calling. “Hello.”
“Just calling to see whether or not you were ready?” Tyler asked. “Lily is doing her makeup right now and I’m putting on my shoes.”
“Yeah, I’m just getting my clothes on right now, so I should be ready. I thought we were leaving out at seven thirty?”
“Oh, we are. Just wanted to make sure you were ready. We’ll see you around then.”
Jeremy knew Lily had put Tyler up to this, to see if he’d backed out or something. Grinning, he hung up the phone. No damn way. He’d wanted this to happen for months. Determined, he went back to getting himself ready for this double date thing.

    Chapter Eight

W hen Lily told her that she’d found someone to go with them tonight to the art gallery, Pamelia felt happy she wouldn’t be a third wheel in the party. But when she found out it was Jeremy who would be going with them, Pamelia went into panic mode. She remembered the response that Lily gave her when she asked if she was sure that this would be all right.
    “Why do you ask that?”
“Because I mean, well, you know?”
    “No, I don’t know,”
“He’s my boss Lily. I would be going out with my boss.”
“No, you wouldn’t be,” Lily laughed her comment but stopped when she saw how serious Pamelia looked. “We are all friends here.”
“But you and Tyler are married and me and him are both single so yeah, it would be considered a date.”
“It’s not a date, now if it was a date, then I wouldn’t be asking you to go with Tyler and me to this thing. I would get Jeremy to take you there by yourself. So, don’t worry about it and just put on something nice when you get home and we’ll pick you up.”
Now, here she was getting herself ready for what to her…was a date. What else could it be but a date? She grabbed the royal blue wrap dress she decided to wear tonight. Gazing at herself in the mirror, Pamelia looked from one side to the other, making sure that it was straight as she adjusted her bra when she saw that it was showing a bit on the side. She grabbed the gold heart shaped locket from off her dresser to put on and then a pair of gold studded earrings. She decided to wear her hair up tonight since she was used to wearing it down during the day. It felt good to get it off her neck for a change while she spritzed some perfume. When she went to put on her mascara, the phone rang and she grabbed it from off the dock. “Hello?”
    “Hey there, how are you
