embraced.
â€œI’ve missed you!” Adriana was excited; she hoped that Draylon was still going to ask her out.
â€œI’ve missed you too! How are you?” Draylon could hear his own heart beating.
â€œI’m good, not much has happened around here really. How is Paul? Is he coming out of his shell at last?” She smiled at the thought of Paul and how quiet he could be.
â€œI believe he is a changed man. He’s become a good friend – my only friend, in fact.”
    â€œWhat about me – aren’t I your friend?”
â€œI was hoping for that – maybe more than a friend. Would you like to go out sometime?”
â€œI would love to!” Adriana was ecstatic; she hadn’t had anyone in her life for quite some time.
â€œMaybe tomorrow?” Draylon said nervously. Despite his strength, Adriana made him go weak at the knees.
â€œTomorrow would be perfect.” She was already wondering what to wear.
Draylon kissed her cheek. They both smiled and looked at each other nervously – they could feel the electricity between them. Draylon said that he was going to get a couple of energy drinks, changing the subject and stumbling on his words a little. He paid for his drinks. Adriana suggested he be careful with those drinks – he wouldn’t want to become addicted. Draylon laughed, saying that Paul said the very same thing, but he feared it was too late for that. Draylon said that he’d see Adriana tomorrow and that he was looking forward to their date very much. He then made his way back to Paul’s.
Paul was relaxing, listening to his MP3 player. Draylon startled him when he came in. Paul asked him how things went with Adriana. Draylon said that they were going out tomorrow night; he couldn’t wait, but felt a little anxious. Paul congratulated him, saying that she was a lovely girl and that he hoped everything went well. Paul asked if being a hybrid would present any problems with having a relationship. Draylon smiled and replied that it was just a date, but he said that he would look into it, just in case his relationship with Adriana did ever reach the next level. He said he had no desire to start a family in the foreseeable future anyway, especially with what he now knew about his kin, the greys. With that, Draylon asked if Paul was ready to go to Tongariki. Paul said that he was very much looking forward to driving his yellow Suzuki Alto again and laughed – he missed his Mustang very much.
Paul connected his MP3 player up to his stereo, started the car, revved the engine a little, and told Draylon to hold on tight. They both laughed as the car went from 0 to 60 in over ten seconds. They were on their way to Tongariki, the place where he found the first tablet, the place where it all started. They arrived and got out of the car and stood looking at the large Moai statues; the proud faces of the Moai staring back at them. It was an awesome spectacle.
Paul said to Draylon that he loved his home on Easter Island, but very much missed their adventure. He said that he had the time of his life, literally, and hoped that they could go off on a voyage again in the not too distant future. Draylon assured him that there would be many more to come. There were no other people at the site and Paul suggested that now would be a great time to see what Draylon could do. Draylon held up his right hand, facing the largest of the Moai. Using his amplified telekinetic powers, he easily raised the massive statue ten feet in the air. He held it for a while and then slowly lowered it down again. Paul’s jaw gaped.
â€œThat was unbelievable – how about your strength, has that improved?”
Draylon went over to Paul’s car and lifted up the back end with his left hand easily. “Would you like me to lift it above my head?” Draylon grinned.
Paul felt protective of his little yellow car. “No, no. Thank you! You’re strong, I
